Check out this fun new eBook fro Ella Publishing! It’s called Picture Perfect. And they’re right. You know how you think you are taking a picture, but what your camera captures is different than what you “saw”? This book is a quick, easy read and is loaded with tips and tricks on to help you get the photo you see.
Here is the official information:
Publisher: Ella Publishing, eBook cost: $5.99
About the Authors
Elisha Snow
Kelly Noel
Becky, Elisha, and Kelly are all professional family photographers, camera-happy moms, successful bloggers, and scrapbookers to boot! Hailing from Utah, Nebraska, and Florida respectively, they have a total of nine beautiful children (and eight grandchildren, thanks to Becky) among them.
About the book
Picture Perfect to the rescue! Organized into nine relevant sections (babies, toddlers, kids, teens, pets, adults, duos, trios, and larger groups), this eBook is packed with practical advice that will help you take your photographs to the next level.
Several of the tips are geared toward those with some experience with semi-manual or manual modes on a DSLR camera. But even if you're a DSLR beginner (or you use a point-and-shoot), you'll learn how to improve your photographs dramatically.

GUESS what!?
Ella Publishing has donated a Picture Perfect book to ONE of my readers!
To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment answering the following two questions by midnight on Sunday, June 13, 2010:
1. What projects would you like to see me demonstrate on Good Things Utah? (added: Remember that even if you aren’t in Utah, you can view the segments on my blog. I always have the most current in the left column and links to the others are there, too.)
2. I haven’t shared a lot of my everyday life on the blog. I mostly just share projects. I hesitate to bore you with all the mundane details or scare you off by sharing personal feelings, and, do you really want to know when I feel like a failure? So, here’s the question: would you like there to be more “ME” in my blog?

Thanks for sharing all that you do, Amber. Even though, I live far from Utah, continuing to blog about trends in scrapbooking that are current are a real plus. Thank you!
Also, feel free to tell what you feel most comfortable with. We would love to hear whatever you would like to share. Thanks so much.

Any project showing how to use product, what products are out there and what they do,how to on crafting tools, ways to vamp old into new, how and why you set up a layout for scrapping, home decorating ideas with crafting supplies, and if personal life is your inspiration then yes however you don't want to get away from what you do and focus on yourself you may loose why people come to your site if you make it too personal I error on the side of caution putting my personal out there for everyone you never know if all your readers are safe

Well, I would love to see more everyday stuff, too. And of course multiple photo LO's are always great.
And as for YOU on the blog...I would agree with the other comments...I think when we can share in our successes it's also good to share our "failures". Besides, I would love to get to know YOU better...even if it's mundane! :0)

I'm also not in Utah, but i like the idea of layouts about the family tree as a previous post mentioned, and I'm always big on learning new techniques to use on my scrapbook pages.
I think its great to share about you as a person because it helps us as readers to get to know you and your motivations a little better.

I LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT THE MUNDANE STUFF. YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS IS INTERESTING AND I LOVE TO SEE THE STUFF THAT YOU POST BECAUSE IT DOES GIVE OTHERS GREAT IDEAS. ANYTHING THAT YOU DO ON GTU IS GREAT AND IS USUALLY SOMETHING THAT I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE. HOW ABOUT SOME MORE HAIR ACCESORIES OR MAYBE SOME HOME DECOR? WHATEVER IT IS, I'M SURE THAT IT WILL ALWAYS BE FABULOUS.

I have a couple of Ella books and they are great!
1) I'd like to see mini album projects.
2) Personal life comments help us to feel like you are one of us!

I don't live in your area so I wouldn't get to watch but I love to see crafters demonstrating ideas with the newest trends.
I always love reading about the wonderful people on the blogs I follow!

I pretty much love all your projects! I like to see new techniques and clever ideas to display your favorite pictures!

I don't live in Utah, but sure wish there were more crafting programs on tv in MN. Secondly, I like the ME in the blog. Yeah yeah on the fact that your talented, but its the YOU that makes what we're reading interesting. Its like getting to know a new friend. And it puts what you do a tad more in perspective. I look at blogs I follow like Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske and its the personal stuff that make the rest of what they do seem whole. So I guess what I am saying is YES !!

Well, I wish I lived in Utah to watch you...but I hear you share amazingly fun things. And being real is my favorite thing about meeting new people...IRL and on the web. I say share what you're comfortable with...people come to see YOU in your blog, not just your best times and fun finds. ;)

1. Family tree scrapping
2. It's great to be real! It makes us all realize we're human and can relate!
