This is my Grandfather. 

He fought so that my generation might not need to.

Growing up, my grandpa would never talk about this time in his life.  The memories are too hard on him.  As he is getting closer (not too soon, I hope!) to the end of his life, he has began to open up. 

I'm going to frame this layout and take it to him.  Hopefully I can get him to tell me more (I'll be sure to come armed with a recorder of some type).
